Tapotement Massage

This comes from the French word, tapoter, meaning “to tap or drum.” Therapists refer to this as the percussion stroke.

Tapotement is the rapid, percussive tapping, slapping and cupping of the massaged area. It is used to more aggressively work and strengthen deep-tissue muscles. It increases local blood circulation and can even help tone muscle areas.

Tapotement is often used to warm-up athletes before an event.

Because of the tapping nature, don’t use this technique over bony areas or sensitive muscles. Do not use over the kidneys, the spine or the back of the knee. If you have questions, always consult a physician before using.

Customer Testimonials

Marci (WA)
As soon as I received my Flex Therapy, I put it to good use. My shoulders are always sore. The Flex Therapy got right into the sore spots and started to alleviate the pain. It feels pretty good. The best part was using the facial vitalizer on my head. It was so gentle, but gave my head such a wonderful massage. I even tried it on my husband and he really enjoyed it. I am now going to have to get the scalp stimulator to try that one out, too. What I really like that it's portable and comes with it's own travel bag. We travel a lot and in doing so usually over do it. On vacation we are always saying we need to get a massage. This will do the job perfectly! Thank you and I look forward to more relaxing days ahead!
